2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: Name, age, gender, profile photo, bio, languages spoken.
• Authentication data: We use Google Sign-In; we receive your Google account name and email.
• Profile photos: Up to 6 photos you upload to your profile gallery.
• Messages: Content of messages you send to other users.
• Settings: Privacy preferences, notification settings, theme, display language.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: App interactions, screens visited, features used.
• Device information: Operating system, app version, device ID (for push notifications).
• Connection data: Last-seen timestamps (used for online status, subject to your privacy settings).

3. How we use your information

• Operate and improve the Globzy platform.
• Show your profile to other users based on your discovery settings.
• Deliver messages and notifications in real time.
• Provide customer support and respond to reports.
• Maintain safety and prevent abuse, spam, or policy violations.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

4. Translation feature

Message translation on Android is performed on-device using Google ML Kit. Translated text is not sent to our servers or any external translation service. Your conversations remain private.

5. Data sharing

We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, push notifications (FCM), crash reporting.
• Our backend servers: Hosted on cloud infrastructure for storing profiles, messages, and feed data.
• Law enforcement: Only when required by valid legal process.

6. Your privacy controls

You have granular control over your privacy within the app (Settings → Privacy):

• Who can see your profile (everyone or followers only)
• Who can send you messages
• Whether your age is displayed
• Whether your online status and last seen are shown
• Whether you appear in the discovery feed
• Read receipts on messages

7. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time in Settings → Account Danger Zone. After confirmation, your account and data enter a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion. You can reactivate during this period.

8. Children's privacy

Globzy is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact us immediately at safety@globzy.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/WSS), server-side authentication validation, and access controls. Authentication is delegated to Google, reducing the risk of credential compromise.

10. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to processing of your data.
• Data portability.
