π Short version: We collect the data needed to run Globzy, keep it safe,
and support optional ads. We do not sell your personal data, and you can control key privacy
and ad consent settings at any time.
1. Who we are
Globzy ("we," "our," or "us") is a social app that helps people connect
across 190+ countries. Our website is globzy.online.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Name, age, gender, profile photo, bio, languages spoken.
- Authentication data: We use Google Sign-In and receive your Google account name and email.
- Profile photos: Photos you upload to your profile gallery (avatar and gallery images).
- Voice Intro (Premium): A short audio clip (up to 15 seconds) you optionally record for your profile.
- Messages: Content of messages you send to other users, including text and images shared in chat.
- Social activity: Follow/friend requests, profile likes, profile views, and related activity events shown in your notifications feed.
- Settings: Privacy preferences, notification settings (push, in-app, and optional email), theme, display language, chat wallpaper choices, and ad consent preferences.
- Optional purchases (Android): If you buy Globzy Premium,
Google Play processes the payment. We receive the subscription product ID, order identifier,
subscription period, renewal/cancellation state, and entitlement status from our backend/payment service as needed to unlock features and provide support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: App interactions, screens visited, features used, and metered usage counters (for example daily message or translation limits on free accounts).
- Analytics data: Aggregated app events (such as screen views and feature usage) collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the product.
- Device information: Operating system, app version, device ID (for push notifications).
- Advertising and consent data: Advertising ID where available, ad impressions/clicks,
ad placement events, consent status, and privacy preference signals used to request, measure, and limit ads.
- Connection data: Last-seen time (used for online status, based on your privacy settings).
3. How we use your information
- Operate and improve the Globzy platform.
- Show your profile to other users based on your discovery settings.
- Deliver messages and notifications in real time.
- Provide customer support and respond to reports.
- Maintain safety and prevent abuse, spam, or policy violations.
- Show, limit, personalize where permitted, and measure ads for free users.
- Unlock Premium benefits β including an ad-free experience, unlimited messaging and translation, profile insights (who viewed or liked you), advanced discovery filters, Voice Intro, and other entitlements shown in the Premium screen β when your subscription is active.
- Enforce free-tier usage limits (such as daily messages or translations) and offer optional rewarded ads where you choose to watch an ad for a bonus.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. Ad personalization, where available, depends on your
region, platform settings, and consent choices shown by Googleβs consent tools.
4. Translation feature
On Android, translation runs on your device using Google ML Kit. Translated text is not
sent to our servers or third-party translation services.
On iOS, translation behavior may use different on-device or system mechanisms depending on app version and platform APIs;
we still aim to keep message translation as local as the platform allows.
5. AI Companions
Globzy includes AI-powered companion profiles ("AI Companions"). These are not real human users. AI Companions are clearly identified in the app with an AI badge visible in the Explore feed and in the chat screen.
How AI Companions work
When you send a message to an AI Companion, your message is processed by Groq, Inc. β an AI infrastructure provider β to generate a response in real time. This processing happens on Groq's servers located in the United States, hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
What is sent to Groq
- The content of messages you send to AI Companions during a conversation.
- A conversation summary used to maintain continuity across sessions.
- We do not include your name, email, phone number, or user ID in any system-level data sent to Groq.
- Any personal information you voluntarily type within a chat message is sent as part of that conversation content.
Groq's data retention
By default, Groq does not retain inference request data after generating a response. In limited cases β such as error troubleshooting or abuse investigation β Groq may temporarily store request data for up to 30 days. This is governed by Groq's own privacy policy, available at groq.com/privacy-policy.
Tip for AI chats
We recommend avoiding sharing sensitive personal information (such as phone numbers, passwords, or financial details) in AI Companion chats, as message content is processed externally by Groq.
6. Automated content moderation
To keep Globzy safe, we use automated content analysis technology to detect and prevent content that violates our community guidelines β including nudity, sexually explicit material, and other inappropriate content β across both images and messages.
What is analyzed
Automated moderation applies to all content submitted on Globzy, including:
- Images: profile photos, avatar images, gallery photos, and images sent in chat messages
- Messages: text content sent in chat conversations, scanned to detect and block prohibited or harmful content
How it works
- Content is temporarily processed on our own servers at the point of submission.
- Self-hosted machine learning models analyze the content to identify potentially prohibited material.
- The model returns a moderation result β allowed, flagged, or rejected β which is applied instantly.
- Content that fails moderation is blocked and not delivered or stored on our platform.
- No content is sent to any external third-party moderation service. All analysis runs entirely on our own infrastructure.
Data processed during moderation
- Image files and message text (processed temporarily at the time of submission)
- File metadata where applicable (filename, size, content type)
- Moderation result and confidence score
- Associated account and audit information
Purpose
This processing is used to enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, protect users from harmful or inappropriate content, and maintain the safety and integrity of the platform.
Infrastructure and security
Moderation runs on our servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel. Moderation logs may be retained for a limited period for auditing, abuse investigation, and legal compliance.
Automated decision-making
Content moderation decisions may be made automatically without human review. If you believe your content was incorrectly blocked, you may contact us at globzyapp@gmail.com to request a review.
7. Data sharing
We may share data only with:
- Firebase (Google): for authentication, push notifications (FCM), analytics, and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform (Google): for serving ads, consent collection,
ad measurement, fraud prevention, and privacy options.
- Google Play (Google): when you buy or manage Globzy Premium on Android, for payment processing and subscription management as described by Google.
- Groq, Inc.: messages you send to AI Companions are processed by Groq in real time to generate AI responses. Groq is based in the United States. See Section 5 for full details.
- Our backend infrastructure: for storing profiles, messages, and discovery data.
- Law enforcement or regulators: when legally required.
8. Ads and consent controls
Globzy may show banner, native, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded ads to free users on Android.
Rewarded ads are optional and are used only when you choose to watch an ad for a bonus feature, such as
additional translation access.
In regions where consent is required, Googleβs User Messaging Platform may ask for your choices before
ads are requested. If privacy options are available for your account or region, you can manage them in
Settings β Ad Preferences. You can also use Android system settings to reset or limit your advertising ID.
Active Globzy Premium subscribers receive an ad-free app experience while Premium remains active.
9. Your privacy controls
You can control your privacy settings in the app (Settings β Privacy), including:
- Who can see your profile (everyone or followers only)
- Whether you appear in Explore/discovery results
- Who can send you messages
- Whether your age is displayed
- Whether your online status and last seen are shown
- Read receipts on messages
- Ad consent and privacy options (Settings β Ad Preferences, where available)
- Push, in-app, and optional email notification categories (Settings β Notifications)
10. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can deactivate your account to hide your profile
and return later by signing in again. You can also request deletion anytime
in Settings β Account Danger Zone. After confirmation, deletion starts with a 30-day grace period.
You can reactivate your account during that period.
11. Age requirement
Globzy is for users age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact us immediately
at globzyapp@gmail.com.
12. Security
We use standard security protections, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/WSS),
access controls, and server-side authentication checks. Google Sign-In helps reduce password-related risk.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Object to processing of your data.
- Data portability.

14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For major changes, we will notify you in the app or by email.
Continuing to use Globzy after updates means you accept the revised policy.
