Delete Your Account

🔒 Your data belongs to you. You can permanently delete your Globzy account and all associated data at any time — directly from the app or by contacting us.

Option 1 — Delete directly in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Globzy app:

  1. Open the Globzy app and go to your Profile.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (top right).
  3. Scroll down and tap Account (Deactivate or delete your account).
  4. Tap Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently Delete.
  5. Your account enters a 30-day grace period. Log back in within 30 days to cancel. After 30 days, all data is permanently removed.

Option 2 — Request via email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing us. Please include the email address associated with your Google account used to sign in to Globzy.

We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once complete.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

Voice Intro audio (if recorded) Deleted After 30-day grace period

Followers / following relationships Deleted After 30-day grace period
Notification tokens & device info Deleted After 30-day grace period
Authentication data (Google Sign-In link) Deleted After 30-day grace period
Anonymised usage logs (no PII) Retained Up to 90 days, then purged

⚠️ 30-day grace period. After requesting deletion, you have 30 days to change your mind — simply log back in to cancel. After 30 days, all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Before you delete your account

A quick checklist so nothing catches you by surprise:

  • Cancel your Premium subscription first. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, not by Globzy, so deleting your account does not cancel billing. Open the Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Globzy → Cancel.
  • Save anything you want to keep. Chat messages and photos cannot be recovered once the grace period ends.
  • Tell your friends. Your conversations disappear for the people you chatted with too, so share other contact details with anyone you want to stay in touch with.

Prefer a break instead? Deactivate

If you just need time away, you don't have to delete anything. Choosing Deactivate in the same Account settings screen hides your profile from discovery and stops messages, but keeps your data intact — sign back in whenever you're ready and everything is exactly as you left it.
